Terms of Service
Version 1.3 · dated July 29, 2026 · effective when Kintilla activates this version · these terms cover the product as it ships, including any beta period.
The short version
Kintilla is a shared weekly planner for households. Be a decent housemate, your content stays yours, the AI is helpful but not infallible, and the free tier is genuinely the whole product. Questions: hi@kintilla.com.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using Kintilla ("the service", operated by Kintilla LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company — "Kintilla", "we", "us"), you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The service
Kintilla provides a shared household board across web, phone, and wall-mounted displays, with AI-assisted features ("Sparks") such as scheduling suggestions, team naming, and weekly summaries. During any beta period (such as pre-release builds), features may change, break, or be removed without notice.
3. Accounts and households
- You sign in with a Google or Apple account and must provide accurate information.
- You must be at least 16 to create an account. Household profiles for people without accounts — including children — are created and controlled by the adult members of the household.
- Whatever your household puts on a board is visible to that household's members. Choose housemates wisely; we can't referee who saw the dishes first.
4. Your content
Content you add to Kintilla stays yours. You grant us the license needed to operate the service — to store, display, sync, back up, and process your content (including AI processing as described in the Privacy Policy) solely to provide Kintilla's features. We claim no other rights to it.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Kintilla to do anything illegal, to harass or harm others, to probe or disrupt the service's security or other households' data, or to send spam through any invitation or notification feature. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
6. AI features
Sparks are suggestions, not guarantees: the AI may occasionally be wrong about dates, names, summaries, or anything else. Review what matters. A free household team shares 25 Sparks each week; the allowance resets at local midnight when that home's configured week begins. Scintilla lifts the ordinary weekly limit, subject to a generous fair-use ceiling.
7. Subscriptions
Kintilla's free tier is the full product with usage limits. The paid tier ("Scintilla") lifts limits and adds cosmetic extras, billed per household team. When subscriptions launch: prices will be shown before you pay, renewals are automatic until cancelled, you can cancel any time effective at the end of the billing period, and we'll give reasonable notice of price changes. A subscription bought through Google Play or Apple is managed by that store and must be cancelled there; deleting a Kintilla account does not itself cancel store billing. Kintilla ends directly billed renewal where it can.
8. Termination
You can stop using Kintilla or start deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time through Account & data. Most verified accounts can finish there; conflicting identity or ownership records may require help through the always-available public deletion page, which also works if you cannot sign in. Before leaving, any current member can optionally make a portable family archive of each home they can access. In a shared home you do not own, Kintilla removes the text, notes, board items, actions, profiles, drawings, files, and other user-generated content attributable to your account, along with derived and cached copies; content genuinely contributed by remaining members may stay with their home. Your person row and sign-in identity are removed from active Kintilla systems. Provider cleanup may continue after account erasure; Kintilla does not treat missing provider authority as proof that the provider has no record, and provider-managed sign-in or billing records may remain. If you own a home, you must hand it to an eligible member or delete it. Whole-home deletion erases its boards and story; an independent shared-home deletion can be immediate or use a seven-day grace period while the owner remains. We may suspend or terminate service for breach of these terms, and may discontinue the service with reasonable notice—in which case we'll provide a way to export household data.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your household will actually do their chores.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kintilla will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we'll post the update here (and in-app once Kintilla has shipped) before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where Kintilla LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
